Background Information
The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) is undertaking a comprehensive update of its Transit Master Plan, Short Range Transit Plan and ADA/Paratransit Plan. This process which will include an extensive public and stakeholder engagement program, will take place over the next few months.
The Transit Vision
One of the first steps in developing the Transit Master Plan was to establish a "Transit Vision" - to set the standard for the type of transit service to be offered in the region over the next 30 years. As part of this Visioning process, three future transit scenarios were developed and consulted on earlier this year. The results of the consultation and public input has led to revisions to the vision and is part of the ongoing public outreach process.
