Real-Time Passenger Information
Real-time information provides up-to-the-minute details about a bus’s journey delivered straight to the city’s bus stops – which means no more waiting at shelters wondering when your bus will turn up!
Information is provided through an electronic display mounted at bus stops, which, in turn, is linked directly to the buses themselves, keeping travellers up to date on when the bus they’re waiting for is expected to arrive at the stop. The service is currently available on
Lothian Bus routes 2, 3/3A, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 22, 25, 29, 31, 33, 37/37A and 49 on the Leith to Straiton and Fastlink corridors.
With half of the Lothian Bus fleet already fitted with the technology, and plans to introduce the scheme to more routes across Edinburgh over 2005 and 2006, our aim is to help you to plan your time better and be able to take control of your journey.
